Random Friday thoughts

  • People who leave Internet Checkers right when I'm about to beat them are annoying. (I've had three so far this morning.)
  • It's very rewarding to see my name in print after all my hard work getting in an article. (Watch for two more articles next week)
  • It's a three-day weekend.
  • Thursdays are almost as good as Fridays since I don't have class today. Last night was nice and relaxing.
  • I love the Space Center.
  • Thank goodness for Mara and Jill.
  • I'm hungry.
  • Hooray for department seminars because we usually get to eat the extra refreshments. (We had one yesterday and we have one later today.)
  • Cleaning check tonight. Sara's coming over to help. I made sure she understands she doesn't have to, but good friend that she is she says she just wants some company and if she has to clean to get it, she'll do it!
  • Maintaining a 3.95 GPA is nothing to sneeze at. Go for it, Tyler!
  • Jill started her new job working with Aunt Julie yesterday. She had to write a 5-page paper last night before bed so I cringe at how little sleep she probably got... She says she likes her job.
  • We haven't been able to puppy-sit for a while. Jill tried to get Sugar for us this week but Sugar's "mom" didn't ever answer her phone. Sadness.
  • I conducted my first phone interview with Coach Judkins this morning. "Hi, this is Jessica Henrie from the Daily Universe." It was pretty cool. He even knew who I was. (Or if he didn't, he pretended like he did.)
  • Mel, your Candy Shoppe War project looks amazing!
  • Graig, I can't wait until you come take this computer off my hands.
  • Rachel Djurich (Russia Siberia Mission) and Joe Melville (Romania Mission) entered the MTC this week. I haven't written them yet.
  • Ryan Bevan (Mexico Merida Mission) sent me a letter yesterday (hooray!). He's scheduled to leave the MTC Monday. Wish his letter had come sooner so I could reply while he was still in the MTC. I guess I'll just have to be the first to write him in Mexico.
  • Spencer Miner (Paraguay Asuncion Mission) should already be in Paraguay right now. Weird...
I think that's enough for one day, even if I was half-trying to make up for a week of nothing.

I'm now officially renowned in the newsroom as the girl who stole that other girl's front page article. I'll have to fill you guys in on that story next week.

Graig, tell Mrs. Smith and the rest of the Ascent staff hi!!!
