So recently (this morning, actually) Jennifer was telling me I should start keeping a dream journal to chronicle some of my more interesting dreams. (Brief interlude: everyone loves to tell one another about their dreams whether they're interesting or not, but I have hopes about some of mine being truly interesting since Jen and some of my other friends have repeatedly told me they are.) As I start compiling this latest project, I guess I'll have to recruit some people to tell me if what does and doesn't really belong in a book.
Good news about this new project: I've already been recording dreams I deem interesting. Some of them date back to 2007 or earlier. (Disclaimer: I very much doubt these were your typical teenage girl dreams. Thank goodness; my reputation would be ruined forever. haha)
Bad news about this project: it's extremely distracting while I'm at work.... like now....
Umm . . . I thought some of your dreams were already basically books. Some of them particularly violent books, but still books.
ReplyDeleteI'd only be including the stuff I actually dreamed. It's true that some of my dreams have evolved into novels, or potential novels. (When you say 'violent,' are you thinking of Rebels of Fareth in particular? Or was your comment more general than that? Just curious)
DeleteRebels of Fareth did come into mind quite a bit actually. Though I will admit I also wondered how violent your Atlantis one was turning out. I can't remember. And I guess the one where you went back in time to stop a murder that you committed could be a bit violent as well.
ReplyDeleteYou really are lucky you don't have to worry about going through the "I am not a computer" verification to make your notes.
I would turn it off (the verification requirement) except it's useful for filtering spam. But you're right, I am lucky I don't have to go through it every time.
DeleteAtlantis didn't progress far enough to get violent. The last thing I remember from that one before I woke up was realizing there were treasure hunters hunting me after I was exiled.
